Challenge: Small to medium-sized logistics companies struggle with inefficient delivery routes, leading to high fuel costs and delivery delays.
Solution: Developed a web-based platform that uses a custom-trained Machine Learning model (Genetic Algorithm) to calculate the most efficient delivery routes based on traffic data, vehicle capacity, and delivery windows. The system reduced fuel costs by an average of 18% and delivery times by 22% for pilot users.
Challenge: Won 1st place in the FIAP + Intel challenge by developing a fully autonomous vehicle capable of navigating a complex track without human intervention.
Solution: Engineered a robust computer vision system using OpenCV for real-time lane detection and object recognition. The vehicle's decision-making was powered by a deep learning model trained to interpret sensor data and make precise steering and speed adjustments, outperforming all other competitors.
Challenge: Internal combustion engines are a major source of CO₂ emissions. The goal was to design a viable alternative with a minimal carbon footprint.
Solution: Co-developed an innovative engine that utilizes hydrogen and nitrogen combustion, resulting in zero CO₂ emissions. My role focused on designing the electronic fuel injection system and developing the control algorithms to ensure stable and efficient engine operation. This project was a significant step toward sustainable transportation solutions.
Challenge: Traditional marine propulsion systems rely on propellers, which can be inefficient and harmful to marine life.
Solution: Designed and built a prototype of a revolutionary water propulsion system that uses electromagnetism to move water, eliminating the need for any moving parts. This system is silent, highly efficient, and safe for marine ecosystems. My work involved complex electromagnetic field simulations and the construction of the prototype's power unit.
Challenge: Delivering medical supplies to remote or disaster-stricken areas quickly and safely is a major logistical hurdle.
Solution: Led the development of an autonomous drone designed for medical emergencies. The drone uses GPS and computer vision to navigate to hard-to-reach locations, avoiding obstacles and identifying safe landing zones. It's equipped with a temperature-controlled compartment for sensitive medical supplies and has reduced delivery times by up to 80% in test scenarios.
